Grinding and Polishing

The optic in front is a polished, cast, light weight 28" diameter, with a mounting ring attached at .707 x Diameter. The second substrate pictured is a ground 40" diameter re-formed ultra low expansion substrate. DOTI Blanchard ground both surfaces to planarize, then cut this diameter from a larger boule. This substrate was then polished on both surfaces so the customer could select the best material for further processing. DOTI has the ability to bend, grind and polish glass substrates to approximately 100" diameter. One of our specialties is to grind and polish non-circular mirrors or lens substrates.
