Lightweight Substrates

DOTI has manufactured many optics utilizing our ability to bend ("slump") glass, as well as from cast substrates, which allow aggressive light-weighting while providing good structural rigidity of the finished optic through use of integral support ribs. The largest cast lightweight mirror we have ground to date is a 42" diameter.
