DOTI specializes in manufacturing lightweight optical substrates using advanced glass slumping and casting techniques. Our ability to bend (“slump”) glass and produce cast mirror substrates enables aggressive lightweighting without sacrificing structural integrity.

By incorporating integral support ribs, our lightweight mirrors maintain excellent stiffness and stability, making them ideal for high-performance optical systems.

To date, DOTI has successfully ground and finished lightweight cast mirrors up to 42 inches in diameter, demonstrating our capability to deliver large, lightweight optical components with precision and reliability.

For enhanced integration, precision mounting points can be molded directly into the non-imaging surface of the mirror. This allows for accurate alignment, simplified installation, and repeatable positioning within high-performance optical and simulation systems.
