  • Achieving Our Goals

    Update from DOTI

Over the past year, DOTI has been focused on proving to the simulation industry, our commitment to manufacturing large format (9’, 10’ and 11’ radius) optical grade spherical glass mirrors for both military and commercial flight simulators. We have been successful in achieving our goals to this point and are proud to say we are now taking our growth to the next level. DOTI is in the process of adding new manufacturing equipment to our newest building. We have designed and are building an additional large grinding and polishing machine to be better prepared for future sales of these larger format mirrors and have more announcements to come.

DOTI has just recently completed source inspection on a massive 5 mirror set for a major simulation integrator. In addition, DOTI will be rolling out a second set of these large format mirrors over the next few weeks to meet a demanding schedule for the final install. Both systems are for the same company and will be providing the commercial simulation market with DOTI glass mirrors.

DOTI has begun manufacturing on four sets of glass mirror upgrades that follow these commercial projects. These sets will be delivered into the Military market for another major integrating customer (customers to remain undisclosed at this time). These sets will be deliverable in 2018 and 2019. The four mirror sets will be divided into two different designs of two systems each.

Customer interest in massive collimating mirrors and flat mirror production (new and existing business) have surpassed our expectations during the past year and we appreciate the support of our established customers and the opportunity to prove ourselves to new customers, as well. Increases in business and even demanding delivery schedules will be met as DOTI continues to expand and advance to meet our market’s needs for the future.

  • Additional Facilities

DOTI has begun the moving process to new facilities!

DOTI announces that it has leased a new facility to be used as our Interim Staging and Warehouse Site. This will be our marshalling area for large components going into Assembly. This facility will be used while we complete negotiations and construction of a Permanent Facility to house Customer Final Acceptance & Test.

The addition of these two facilities will double DOTI’s working footprint to just over 34,000 sq ft. Once the new facility is constructed, DOTI will retain the interim property as a Logistical Staging Site for Major Components and Products.

DOTI is adding Professional and Skilled Production Positions in tandem with these Facilities Enhancements.

DOTI will be making announcements about new Equipment and Processes in 2018.

  • New Contract

DOTI wins contract for 8 large, precise, ground and polished systems.

DOTI has been awarded a contract to supply mirrors into new flight simulation displays to a US manufacturer for large, precise, ground and polished mirror systems. The award is for deliveries in 2018 and is for a total of 8 display systems and over 110 mirrors.

DOTI’s manufacturing capability and experience allow for rapid fielding of displays. DOTI always respects and protects customer identity and privacy unless specifically requested to participate in contract publicity. This contract is one of several that DOTI has earned in the past quarter and marks a significant increase in business in our new manufacturing / size capability.

DOTI will be adding additional manufacturing area, equipment, and staff for 2018-2019 and beyond.

  • MASSIVE Announcement

11′ Radius Collimating Mirror Sets are Here!

DOTI is pleased to announce that we have received confirmation that our first order for two 11′ radius collimating mirror sets. The mirrors will provide 60° Vertical Field of View by more than 200° Horizontal Field of View.

The customer has requested anonymity and for DOTI to withhold the program information until they have time to handle administrative considerations and make their own announcement, at which time DOTI may make further disclosures. We are pleased to be selected and to begin building this segment of our business.

Watch DOTI News for further announcements to be made soon.

  • Something Big is Coming!

DOTI is proud to announce our first 11′ radius display is currently in production!

After extensive design and testing of our custom-built equipment, DOTI is proud to announce that our first 11′ radius display is currently in production. These massive mirrors will be made of glass for extra durability and ultra-precision and will have a Field of View greater than 60°V!

The Interservice / Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) is the world’s largest modeling, simulation, and training conference. It is always held near the beginning of December in Orlando, Florida, USA, and it consists of peer-reviewed paper presentations, tutorials, special events, professional workshops, a commercial exhibit hall, a serious games competition, and STEM events for teachers and secondary students.

I/ITSEC is organized by the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA), which promotes international and interdisciplinary cooperation within the fields of modeling and simulation (M&S), training, education, analysis, and related disciplines at this annual meeting. The NTSA is an affiliate subsidiary of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). Hence, I/ITSEC also emphasizes themes related to defense and security.
