  • Expanded Capabilities

    DOTI has expanded manufacturing capabilities by 150%

    Displays and Optical Technologies, Inc. has expanded our manufacturing capabilities to meet customer demands for larger field of view display components. DOTI is proud to have served the simulation industry over the past 20 years by providing high precision optical components geared toward the most advanced projection display systems.

    Because of recent customer requests, DOTI has answered by expanding our manufacturing capabilities by 150%. This expansion was exclusively designed to house upgraded custom machinery capable of producing optical quality spherical glass mirrors for dual eye point displays in excess of 60° vertical field of view. Our custom machines now produce optics with a diagonal up to 144″ and increase our capabilities in formed optics, planar optics, and grinding and polishing.

    Our increase in facility space will focus on supplying customers with the highest quality solutions for 9′, 10′, and 11′ fixed and rotary wing applications.

    DOTI is attending the 2016 IMAGE Conference, the premier conference in visual simulation. This year’s conference will be held at the University of Dayton (River Campus) in Dayton, Ohio.

    The Interservice / Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) is the world’s largest modeling, simulation, and training conference. It is always held near the beginning of December in Orlando, Florida, USA, and it consists of peer-reviewed paper presentations, tutorials, special events, professional workshops, a commercial exhibit hall, a serious games competition, and STEM events for teachers and secondary students.

    I/ITSEC is organized by the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA), which promotes international and interdisciplinary cooperation within the fields of modeling and simulation (M&S), training, education, analysis, and related disciplines at this annual meeting. The NTSA is an affiliate subsidiary of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). Hence, I/ITSEC also emphasizes themes related to defense and security.

  • IMAGE Conference

    DOTI is attending IMAGE Conference 2013 – Co-Authored and presented “High Performance Mirrors for High Definition Systems”

    At this year’s IMAGE Conference, DOTI co-authored and presented the paper, “High Performance Mirrors for High Definition Systems” in cooperation with Boeing Training Systems Visual IPT. IMAGE is a gathering of Display and Simulation Industry Professionals, and DOTI was honored to be asked to present information on cutting edge display mirror developments.

    The conference is held annually in Scottsdale, Arizona at Chaparral Suites Resort.

  • Record-Breaking Machine

    DOTI has designed and manufactured a world-record-breaking machine!

    DOTI is proud to announce that we have designed and manufactured the world’s largest known tilt spindle grinding and polishing machine. The machine was developed for a customer-specific project with an extreme Field of View in a single optical element. This one-of-a-kind machine is online and is currently polishing a 6′ plus diameter mirror substrate with an approximate 100+ degree FoV.

  • Larger Oven

    Oven re-designs now accommodate larger mold sizes; glass and acrylic.

    To increase production capabilities, DOTI has re-designed its large oven to accommodate larger mold sizes. The re-engineered new oven will allow DOTI to produce even larger glass and acrylic substrates for optical processes.
